MISSIONS

Serve the Burg

Serve the Burg is a day dedicated to serve our city, together! This year on March 29, churches from all over the Spartanburg area will serve in partnership with various non profits and ministry organizations.

In addition to the serve day, Come Closer Spartanburg is hosting a worship gathering on March 28th @ 6:30pm at NewSpring Church in Spartanburg.

If you have any additional questions about Serve the Burg or need help selecting a location to volunteer, please contact Byan Biggerstaff (bbiggerstaff@fbs.org).

Welcome

Welcome Team

Navigating grocery stores, schools, housing applications, and directions, can all be a challenge for a recently resettled Refugee with language and culture barriers. Serve on the Welcome Team and be paired with a Refugee family to support them as they get acclimated to your hometown. Join a team of people passionate about welcoming refugees to the Upstate.
